Roll-off dumpster rental in Davidson

Approx. 6 road miles from the yard, around 11 minutes.

Davidson is approx. 6 road miles south of the yard, around 11 minutes — same-day or next-day, depending on availability; call before noon for the best chance of same-day. It is a town of 15,106 at the 2020 Census: 14,728 in Mecklenburg County and 378 in Iredell County.

Town code says construction debris shall not be collected or disposed of by the Town; removing it is the responsibility of the property owner and their contractor, builder or agent (§62-34). Businesses that need more than weekly cart pickup provide container service through private vendors, except downtown, which the Town serves (§62-40(a)). That is roll-off work.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Davidson

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Two counties — most of Davidson is in Mecklenburg County, with a small part in Iredell County. The Town's own rules apply on both sides of the line.
  • Contracted carts — the Town contracts a private company for residential garbage and recycling; construction debris is not part of the Town's service (§62-34).
  • Downtown is Town-served — the private-vendor rule for businesses needing more than weekly carts does not apply downtown (§62-40(a)).
  • Mecklenburg County C&D — the County says construction and demolition loads of 10 cubic yards or more go directly to its Foxhole Landfill, which takes C&D Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

What comes out of Davidson properties

Roofs in 10s and 20s, kitchens and baths in 20s, bigger remodels and clear-outs in 30s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete, brick and dirt — heavy material goes in the smaller boxes because of weight limits. Construction debris is exactly what the Town leaves to owners and contractors (§62-34). North Carolina bans used oil, antifreeze, lead-acid batteries, whole tires, white goods and consumer computers and TVs from landfills (G.S. 130A-309.10(f)), so keep them out of the box.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Davidson

Who may haul — the rule that matters: §62-34 makes removing and disposing of construction debris the responsibility of the property owner and their contractor, builder or agent, and §62-40(a) sends businesses that need more than weekly cart service to private vendors, outside downtown. We found no Town franchise covering roll-offs. Mecklenburg County says its Certificate to Operate is required for municipal solid waste collection but not for construction and demolition debris or bulky waste. We're licensed and insured.

Placement: §66-2 makes it unlawful to place any obstruction whatsoever in or over the town's streets or sidewalks, and we found no Town dumpster permit. So the container goes on your driveway or job site, and our crew confirms the spot with you. On a state road, G.S. 136-93 needs a written NCDOT permit for any obstruction, so it goes on private property there too.

Knocking something down: North Carolina requires notice before a building is demolished, whether or not it contains asbestos, and work may start on the tenth working day. Mecklenburg County runs its own local asbestos program, and the state Health Hazards Control Unit says it is the office to contact for jobs in the county. Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Davidson

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number that can cover delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, with protective boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. You do not need to be home.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rim and keep the banned items out — paint and solvents, chemicals, oil and fuel, batteries, tires, propane tanks and gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, large appliances, and computers or TVs. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load is covered and goes to a facility permitted for that kind of waste, with metal, concrete, asphalt, cardboard and yard waste recycled through local facilities whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.
