Roll-Off Dumpster Rental across Lake Norman and Iredell County
Every job we do is a roll-off: a large, open-top rectangular container that a specialized truck rolls onto your driveway, lot or job site, that sits there while you fill it, and that goes back on the truck when you call. Unlike a permanent waste container, it is a temporary container for one project, and then it is gone. This page is about the box itself — the sizes, the weight, the space it needs and the price — for anyone who just wants to know what they are renting.

How a roll-off works
The truck backs in and rolls the container onto the spot you agreed. You load it over the open top, keeping everything level with or below the top rim, because an overfilled dumpster cannot be legally transported and may have to be unloaded before pickup. Spread the load evenly — uneven weight makes hauling unsafe. Call when it is done; the truck comes back, loads it and hauls it.
Space is the thing to check before you book: a flat, stable surface such as a driveway, gravel pad or paved area, about 20 to 22 feet of placement length for most containers, about 60 feet of access for the truck, and at least 25 feet of clear space overhead. Power lines, tree branches, carports, parked cars, trailers and equipment are the usual obstacles. If you will not be home, mark the spot with cones, chalk or tape, or send us a photo.
What the flat price includes
Flat-rate pricing that can include delivery, pickup, the standard rental period and disposal up to the included weight. Rentals around Mooresville generally range from about $350 to $750 depending on the dumpster size, the type and weight of the debris, how long you keep it, the delivery location and any extra pickups or swaps. Two things can add to it: going over the included weight, charged on the excess tonnage once the container is weighed after pickup, and keeping the container past the rental period, at an additional daily or weekly fee. We explain all of it on the first call. No hidden fees and no hidden fuel surcharges.

Roll-off rental around Mooresville — where the loads go
Every load goes to a facility that is permitted for that kind of waste, and which one depends on what is in the box. A construction and demolition landfill takes C&D waste but not garbage, household trash, yard trash, appliances or liquids (15A NCAC 13B .0542(e)); a land clearing and inert debris landfill accepts only yard waste and inert debris (.0563(1)); and household and commercial garbage goes to a municipal solid waste landfill, minus North Carolina's banned items. In Iredell County, the Twin Oaks Solid Waste Facility in Statesville takes demolition debris at a published $44 a ton plus a $2 a ton state tax, but no dirt or stumps; the Mooresville Transfer Station takes no construction debris from commercial sources. Disposal is local in more ways than one: Iredell's sites accept waste generated in Iredell County only (County Code Sec. 12-10(b)), the Lincoln County landfill takes only Lincoln County waste, the Rowan County landfill takes Rowan County waste and out-of-county waste only with the director's approval (Rowan Sec. 19-46(a)), and Cabarrus County's C&D landfill is currently not accepting roll-off trucks. On the road, every load is secured and covered so nothing falls, blows, sifts or leaks off the truck (G.S. 20-116(g)(1); Iredell Sec. 12-9). We price it flat either way.

Answers
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental — your questions answered
What is the difference between a roll-off and a regular dumpster?
A regular dumpster is a permanent container emptied on a route. A roll-off is a temporary open-top container delivered for a project and hauled away when you are done. Roll-offs are what we do.
How full can I load it?
Level with or below the top rim, no higher. Overfilled dumpsters cannot be legally transported, and uneven weight distribution makes hauling unsafe. If you need more room, call and we can often swap it for an empty one.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
No. As long as we have clear placement instructions and the delivery area is clear of vehicles, trailers and other obstacles, the driver places it where you asked. Same for pickup.
How quickly can you deliver?
Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. Call before noon for the best chance of same-day.
Can I not just haul it to the landfill myself?
You can. In Iredell County, Twin Oaks in Statesville takes demolition debris on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday mornings, and the county's convenience sites take residents' demolition debris by the pickup load with a county windshield decal. Check first that the site takes your material — county facilities take no dirt or stumps — and cover and secure the load, as state law and the county require. A roll-off is the option when the job is more than a couple of trips, or you would rather not make them.
What does a roll-off cost in Mooresville?
Rentals generally range from about $350 to $750 depending on the project, with no hidden fees. You get a flat rate up front that can cover delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and the included weight for the size you pick — about 1 to 2 tons on a 10 yard up to 5 to 6 on a 40. Call (980) 447-2697 with the address and what is going in and you will have a number before you hang up.
